The dance collective (LA) HORDE vibrated Paris and gave us hope for the festivities of the future in the most exciting parade.
It is 20:00 hours in the grounds of the Royal Palace when, among the still dark columns of this emblematic square, figures appear. Suddenly, they come to life and start dancing: (LA) HORDE has woken up and can start the show Isabel Marant Spring-Summer 2021.
It begins with an explosion of spotlights, as the models parade through the center of the monumental courtyard, and around them a tumult of lamé bodies is unleashed. Go to a party, the burning desire to go out, dance, get away … we know exactly what Isabel is talking about. Versatile looks are reminiscent of the 80s: color block, short skirts, mini-shorts and blazers with shirts without much wear underneath.
Attitude and clothes are giving us a pure, topical Debbie Harry, given the recent cover of Miley’s “Heart of Glass.” Fuchsia, red, blue, silver, prints and materials take place in a parade of dazzling colors. The festival resounds through the gardens of the Palais Royal to the sound of Donna Summer’s anthem “I Feel Love”, remixed by the Italian artist Gabber Eleganza.
“This collection celebrates love,” said artist Amber Goldhammer in a short-sleeved jumpsuit. With the advent of winter and Paris once again facing new restrictive measures, Elizabeth’s parade reflects an undeniable thirst for lightness and freedom.
