THE MESSAGE
“There are always two contrasting ideas. I started with English embroidery, mixed in sportswear, combined in my way.
And here’s the novelty: I came back on vacation and thought, “I could adapt and translate parts of the men’s collection.”
Some pieces are unisex, but some have been trimmed and resized for men.
So, I designed the collection for the women, and then I tried to figure out what I’d like my boyfriend to wear.

The scene
Marant took his usual place, a Shop on the Place Colette full of light panels and a techno soundtrack (load your iPhone with Club Culture Club Mix -chapter one- if you’re going out tonight).
THE COLLECTION
First, all marant family summer favorites: endless white Broderie Anglaise, mini dresses and blouses with ruffles, high-waisted shorts with high-necked metal tops, and lots of amazing knitwear.
Turn everything upside down to transport 80s sportswear to the beach, which is going to be the super trend of spring.
Check out Andreaa Diaconu in a yellow crochet bikini, a nylon top, a yellow garland necklace of mimosas and woven flip flops, then you get the idea.
The knotted metal jumpsuits at the waist and dresses in swimsuits will satisfy fans of the cult Marant silver pants (guilty), while the boys wear mesh shorts and fabrics mixed with metallics – “”metallics in an easy way,” as the designer says.
